Description
Match program for the APSL Championship match with San Francisco Bay Blackhawks vs. Maryland Bays on September 22, 1990 at Nickerson Field in Boston. Cover illustration shows two players contesting for the ball with a soccer ball pattern overlaid on the photograph. Contents include a welcome from the APSL commissioner, a list of the two divisions' All-Stars including from the Western Soccer League Marcelo Balboa, John Doyle, Dominic Kinnear, and Townsend Qin all from the Blackhawks; brief profiles and rosters of the players in the match, a list of the 18 APSL players who represented the United States in the 1990 Italy World Cup including Balboa, Doyle, and Eric Wynalda. The Bays defeated the Blackhawks in penalty kicks.
