Description
"Eine Malayen-Frau." ("A Malay Woman."). The picture shows a young woman of Malay origin. Her head is covered with a white scarf. She stands and wears a dark dress with white ruching. In her left hand she holds something, probably a dotted pincushion. In the background probably a wall. Imprinted on the image: "Malayen-Frau. Süd-Afrika-W. No. 518." ("Malay woman. South Africa W[est]. No. 518.").
Photography faded. -- The photo was taken in the Western part of South Africa.
