Photograph caption dated May 16, 1958 reads, "Rip Childress, animal keeper at Griffith Park Zoo, has his hands full with three six-week-old timber wolf cubs born at zoo. Their parents have been zoo residents for nine years. Cubs will be traded to other zoos for other animals."
