This photograph is contained in one of two volumes by Dobbin titled "Album of San Francisco."
"2" printed on photo. Text written under photo: "Residence of Huntington. California Street Hill 1894. Residence of Crocker." The "Residence of Huntington" caption is actually under Crocker's house and vice-versa, but an arrow is drawn between the two to indicate that they should be reversed. View is of north side of California Street at Taylor, at the top of Nob Hill. The elaborate Second-Empire style Crocker mansion is seen in the background, while the more restrained Italianate Huntington (formerly Colton) house is nearest the camera.
