Photograph article dated January 16, 1964 partially reads, "Edward Lassman, president of the World Boxing Association, appears before the Senate antitrust and monopoly subcommittee today as the probe of the Clay-Liston championship fight draws to a close...The stated reason for the inquiry is to determine if the Clay-Liston fight points to a need to place professional boxing under tight federal policing. Chairman Philip A. Hart (D-Mich.), says the subcommittee already has heard enough of mysterious money deals and of possible underworld involvement in the staging of the bout so that 'we've got the momentum' to pass legislation."
