The Victory-Vanowen Playground, located at 12240 Archwood St., North Hollywood, is now Valley Plaza Park.
Photograph caption dated July 8, 1950 reads "Claude Newman, sports editor of the Valley Times is congratulating as well as presenting a trophy to First Baseman Moe Winter of the championship Doc's A.A. of the Valley Junior National Baseball League at last night's gigantic jamboree at Victory-Vanowen Playground. Second Baseman Joe Hillock, extreme right, is looking on with eagerness and Manager Bill Jay, center, lends weight to the occasion."
