Description: View of the Griffith Park observatory and planetarium with the Astronomers Monument, designed by Archibald Garner. Three or four people can be seen on the roof near the dome (left side) of the solar telescope. A couple of other people are on the ground to the front and left of the monument in this view from the north. The observatory was built in 1935. Architects: John C. Austin and Frederick M. Ashley.
