Description
Note: Ähnliches Bild Cf. D-30.051.011. (PST).
Note translation: Similar photo Cf. D-30.051.011. (PST). - Published as no 30 in the album 'Achtzig Ansichten von der Goldküste (Westafrika) nach Originalaufnahmen des Missionars Fritz Ramseyer', (= 'Eighty views of the Gold Coast (West Africa) photographed by the missionary Fritz Ramseyer'), Neuenburg 1895. - Caption there: "The mountain dome called 'Gemmi' (Togoland). The form of the mountain reminds us of Switzerland, but so does its name. About half an hour away from Amedjofe to the north one sees the beautiful and unusual dome pictured here - a hill which, miraculously enough, is called 'Gemmi'." - The French version of the album spells the name "Ghemi", however.
