Photograph of an exterior view of the National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers in Sawtelle, ca.1905. A three-story Victorian house is shown at center, at the curved end of a u-shaped driveway. The first and second stories of the house have wraparound porches, while gabled windows and a large belltower protrude from the shingled roof. The edge of another building is visible at the right. A fence and an arch of ivy frame the image in the foreground. The National Home for Disabled Voluteer Soldiers was also known as the Soldier's Home.
