Photograph caption dated December 29, 1959 reads, "Hope Back From Alaska Yule Tour. "Just dropped in to thaw out," was Bob Hope's first comment as he returned from his eighth annual Christmas season tour to Alaska military bases. With Hope, bottom row, are Frances Langford, Patti Thomas and Jayne Mansfield, and top row, Skinny Ennis and Jerry Colonna. To greet Hope when he landed at Lockheed Air Terminal was his dog, Recession, center.
