This photograph is contained in one of two volumes by Dobbin titled "Album of San Francisco."
View of the northwest corner of Bush and Van Ness during the period following the 1906 disaster when several of the downtown department stores were temporarily located there. Roos Brothers is located in the second structure from the corner on Van Ness; the White House can be seen further up at the corner of Pine. Flags drape the front of the buildings and the light standards in the middle of Van Ness. A huge, framed picture of a U.S. Navy battleship adorns the building at Bush and Van Ness. "Roos W House" written to right of photo.
