Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph article dated February 1, 1965 partially reads, "Fred Kubasak Jr. is a young man who believes in keeping busy - and with a purpose. Along with his full-time duties as funeral director and part-owner of The Valley Funeral Home, Kubasak estimates he devotes from eight to 10 hours a week to community activities spread over six different civic and service organizations. These efforts this week earned the 26-year-old Chicago native the Burbank Junior Chamber of Commerce's prized 'Young Man of the Year' award. Kubasak's civic credentials include membership in the Burbank Sertoma Club, Junior Chamber of Commerce, Inter-Service Club Golf Assn., Burbank Safety Council, Holy Name Society of St. Finbar's Church and the Knights of Columbus, St. Cabrini Council."
