Description
Hubert Humphrey, longtime U.S. Senator from Minnesota, 38th Vice President (under LBJ, 1965-1969), Democratic nominee for President, 1968. Here, he walks down a corridor in the Capitol, unaware that Secret Service agents had pinned a man against the wall nearby, for questioning. He was a Republican candidate for the Assembly, Michael Palcic of LaJolla; the agents were concerned by the briefcase he was carrying.
