Photograph caption dated February 3, 1960 reads, "Mrs. Carol Davis of Reseda cuddles her son Herby, 2 1/2, as pet dog Smokey gives happy lick to boy who wandered from his home at 6857 Garden Grove Ave. today. Smokey trailed closely behind, to make sure nothing happened to boy who was seen playing in yard of Mrs. Wilbur Tripp, 18200 Hartland St. Mrs. Tripp called police. Officer R. J. Rohr returned boy to Mom, who had been asleep when early rising son went exploring through Reseda neighborhood."
