Description
Photograph of small group of men holding instruments during the Chinese New Year celebrations, Chinatown, 1920-1929. At center, a group of six men wearing lightly-colored clothing, decorative sashes around their waists, and striped socks past their knees can be seen. One of the men holds an object that looks like either a drum or gong in his hand. Another man wearing a suit and hat holds a pair of hand symbols. Between the group of men, a small cart is visible. One of the men can be seen sitting on the edge of the cart while holding his left leg. Behind the group of men, a large crowd is visible looking off to the right. In the extreme background, large buildings can be seen.
