Description
A man and a woman in riding costumes meet another gentleman in morning dress. The woman wears a riding habit with a long full brown skirt and matching jacket with a peplum, both which button down the front. The sleeves of her jacket have French cuffs. She wears a white blouse with ruffles at neck, wrists, and center front, with a red cravat tied into a bow. She wears yellow gloves and a green shallow brimmed hat trimmed with ribbons and a feather, and she carries her riding crop. She holds the arm of the man in the center who wears gray trousers, a white pleated shirt, a short tan waistcoat and a green cutaway tail coat with notched lapels. We see the chain of a pocket watch hanging from his coat. His shirt has a stiff collar and he wears a blue cravat tied into a bow. His tall black riding boots are polished leather and reach above his knees; the heels of his boots have spurs. He wears a tall black top hat, carries a riding crop, and he wears long sideburns. The man on the right wears gray and black very wide checked Tattersall plaid trousers over black heeled boots. He wears a white pleated shirt, a yellow or tan waistcoat, and a dark blue loose-fitting town coat with notched lapels. His coat has pocket flaps at the hips. He wears a multi-colored striped cravat and carries a top hat and a slim cane. His hair is curled at the sides and he wears long "mutton-chop" style sideburns. He leans against a white plinth or balustrade, and behind the group are many large green trees.
