Photograph caption dated March 2, 1959 reads, "Held in hilltop murder - Walter E. Briley Jr., seated right, has allegdly [sic] confessed murder of Mrs. Edith Lucille O'Brien last Feb. 18. Her battered body was found in Tujunga's Enfolding Hills. He is questioned by Det. Sgt. Douglas Bentley, seated, and Det. Sgt. T. H. Gerber, standing, at North Hollywood police station."
