Photo caption printed in the Sacramento Bee on January 25, 1970 states: "With one storm following on the heels of another, the Sacramento River swelled out of its channel and over the banks in low lying areas. The pictures on this page were taken yesterday afternoon. In the (subject) picture above, stranded cattle are on a small island just north of Hamilton City, Glenn County."
