Photograph of two cars on Death Valley Road north of Barstow, [s.d.]. Two early model cars are parked at left facing away from the camera. The road on which they are parked is dirt and is lined with tire tracks. At right is a large rock formation that juts into the air from a gently sloping hill. The hill and the ground on the opposite side of the road are covered in low desert bushes. A mountain range is visible in the background. Legible signs on the back of the car on the right include "The General" and its license plate, "846 761".
