The two Contras to the right and left are holding their FN FAL assault rifles in front of them. The Contra in the middle is holding his FN FAL assault rifle over his right shoulder and wearing a black beret. The three Contras are standing in front of a tent made of scrap metal. In the background of the image is the Nicaraguan countryside. They are members of the Nicaraguan Democratic Force (FDN in Spanish), known informally as "Contras."
