Description
Fairytale Town, located at 3901 Land Park Drive, was a project first conceived in 1956. Nursery rhymes and fairytales come to life here in the form of child-sized sets, some including live baby animals. The land for Fairytale Town was allocated in the William Land Park as a gift to the children of the Central Valley. It opened in 1959, and is supervised and maintained by the Parks and Recreation Department of the City of Sacramento. Fairytale Town is a financially self-sustaining institution.
