Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the Pomona Public Libarary, ca.1900. The one-story romanesque building of library is pictured at center, on the corner and just back from the sidwalk which skirts a wide, unpaved road. Arches seem to be the predominant theme to the building's architecture, adorning both the windows and the main entrance, to which a small set of steps lead, their handrails crested by two miniature wrought-iron street lamps. Just to the left of these steps, a man in a suit can be seen stooping and peering around the wall of the library, as if snooping. Farther left, residential homes can be seen in the background.
