Description
Image of five vignettes with scenes of characters in historic and burlesque costumes in a royal French ballroom with a central staircase, dancing, and on a stage before curtains, with characters including French monarchs in large wigs and nuns; the poster advertises the comic opera "Nanon," set in Paris, France, during the reign of King Louis XIV, and originally written in German by librettist Camillo Walzel (under the pseudonym F. Zell) with a score by Richard Genee, and includes date information for performances beginning on October 5, [1885], at the Colonel Sinn's Park Theatre in Brooklyn, New York.
