Photograph caption dated April 21, 1959 reads, "Meanest brothers in area - As 1st Lt. Herbert Williams talks to guests at mile-high Mt. Gleason Nike Base, two missiles, Nike-Ajax in background, forerunner, and its big brother, Nike Hercules in foreground, stand erected on launchers, ready for firing except for final connection. Installation was second in area to receive Hercules."
