Description
A general view of the inner harbor, looking northeasterly from a position which would now correspond with Berths 92 to 94, showing Terminal Island across the main channel and Signal Hill in Long Beach behind the masts of the schooner at the left. Stockpiles of lumber are stacked in an orderly fashion next to a railroad track (foreground). A utility pole is situated before the lumber and behind the railroad track, next to a poorly constructed wooden bench. In the water are two pinnaces and a schooner, all of which have their sails down. On the pier in the distance are stockpiles of large crates and boxes. There are about half a dozen small buildings between the piers (right). About half a dozen more buildings can be seen beyond the piers.
