Note from sales catalog, included with map: "The rare original map to accompany Capt. Ingalls' report of his Western Exploration in 1854. For some reason it was apparently not issued with the report, and was lacking in Mr. Wagner's copy, no copy having been seen by him. See Wagner, No. 213." Prime meridian: GM. Relief: hachures.
