Photograph of a view of Seventh Street looking west from Olive Street, Los Angeles, May 22, 1931. Automobiles and pedestrians make their way down the streets and along the sidewalks, respectively, with tall high-rise tenement-style buildings flanking them on either side. The Brockman Building is pictured to the left with a sign advertising "J.J. Haggerty 'The New York'". The Bank of America is also pictured in the right foreground. Other legible signs include: "The Brack Shops", "Coca-Cola", "Collins", "La Vida Mineral Water", "Parking", "Furniture", "Hillman Apts.", and "Furniture". An American flag hangs limp from the roof of the foremost left building.
