Photograph caption dated July 22, 1957 reads "Priming themselves for the photog (and the Los Angeles Angels) are the Hollywood Stars' five top righthanders [sic] who will see action this week in a Gilmore Field renewal of the Civil War series. From top to bottom are Curt Raydon, George Witt, Bennie Daniels, Bob Garber and Hugh Pepper. It's a six-game series starting tonight between the Stars and Angels, who will be followed into Friendly Gilmore field by the pesky Portland Beavers."
