Description
"Map of the City of San Jose Surveyed and Drawn by Order of the Common Council In the Year 1850 by Tho. White, City Surveyor." Map shows area from Guadalupe Creek to Coyote Creek and from Rosa (Hedding) Street south to the City boundary south of Keyes. Shows city boundaries and notes their survey numbers; shows street pattern; street names; public squares; names and locations of adjacent property owners within the city limits; natural features including watercourses and ponds. Blocks have been numbered and individual lots designated and numbered. Also notes the boundaries of the "Old Survey:" [formerly called The Pueblo].
