Description
Photograph of the painting "Moonlight" by Hardens, depicting waves crashing against the shore, [s.d.]. At the far right, the crest of the wave breaks into violent surf against a large rock wedge in the sand, while farther left the spray is much thinner, crashing on a smaller rock. Still farther left, the crest has not yet broken, and remains contiguous with the rest of the water. Behind this, another wave can be seen crashing farther out, with the rippling ocean stretching the rest of the way out back toward the horizon. The moon appears to be behind a patch of clouds, radiating outward from them at center.
