Description
A letter from Takino Hosaka to Hiroji Hosaka who had been interned in the Santa Fe Internment camp. Takino informed Hiroji that the sales negotiation for their hotel failed and she decided not to sell the hotel and leave it to Mr. Nickerson and Mr. Anglea, who offered help, keeping it for them until the Hosakas return. The letter was censored. Hiroji Hosaka Family Letters consists of correspondence between Hiroji Hosaka and his family and friends while he was imprisoned in the Santa Fe Detention Station, the Santa Anita Assembly Center, and the Heart Mountain incarceration camp during World War II. Also included are prewar photographs of the Daiichi Rafu Gakuen, that is, a Japanese language school in Los Angeles, and Japanese archery, a photograph of the Heart Mountain camp, and his business cards prior to the war.
