Photograph was edited for publication purposes Roberta Sherwood was born in Missouri in 1913. Brought up in show business, she became successful later in life, at the age of 43. Singing mostly sentimental love songs, she performed in nightclubs nationwide and signed with a record company. She appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show, The Jackie Gleason Show, The Lucy Show and several others. She died in California in 1999. Photograph caption dated May 8, 1963 reads "Between night club tours she lives in an apartment in Van Nuys."
