Photograph caption dated February 7, 1962 reads, "Diane and Richard Hittleman demonstrate various positions in Yoga exercise. At left Diane does the Alternate Leg Pull, an exercise that relieves tension and fatigue in the legs, helps reduce weight and firm thighs; The Lotus, center, is probably the most famous Yoga position. This posture is used to relax, breathe correctly and meditate. It also removes stiffness from feet, ankles and knees; The Bow, at right, is excellent for strengthening and developing the spine, developing chest and bust and improving posture." Pictured is Diane Hittleman demonstrating The Bow, her husband Richard helps her out.; See images #00130750 through #00130752 for all photos in this series.
