Each girl wears a stylish dress and holds an equally stylish case; some of them wear vintage cloche hats. The back of the bus reads "Pickwick Stages System - Scenic Transcontinental Routes".; Pickwick Stages was incorporated in 1912. In 1929, Pickwick Stages and Greyhound formed a jointly owned company, Pickwick-Greyhound Lines, and later that year acquired Yelloway system, which had been formed in 1925 as a group of independent operators to operate a transcontinental bus system. Pickwick-Greyhound ran as a joint company for four years, but was dissolve in 1933.
