Photograph article dated February 2, 1955 partially reads, "Two Burbank Eagle Scouts and one Glendale Scout with only one badge to earn to make him an Eagle, have been selected from a group of eight Verdugo Hills Explorer Scouts to represent the local organization at the eighth World Jamboree, to be held at Niagara Falls, Canada, Aug. 18, 1928. Carl L. King of Post 45, sponsored by the Latter Day Saints Church of Burbank; Richard Sauger of Troop 12, sponsored by the Burbank Junior Chamber of Commerce, and Robert Mark of Troop 8, sponsored by Glendale Knights of Columbus 1920 were introduced as the selection at the recent annual business meeting of the Verdugo Hills Council of Boy Scouts."
