Description
According to notes from the donor, Luderina Rose Silva is second from the end on right, and Mrs. Heredia is on the end on the left. With other Portuguese women, they are sorting pears on a conveyor belt at Barron-Gray Cannery (operated by Dole after 1948). Undated. There is a lengthy note written in Portuguese on the reverse of the photograph that appears to explain the pear sorting operation.
