Herald-Examiner photographer James Roark captured the moment in the award-winning photo. In oservance [sic] of Flag Day tomorrow, The Los Angeles Herald-Examiner and the Dodgers will present fans, attending the game against the Pittsburgh Pirates with a free 2x3-feet poster bearing the photo."; The second photograph caption dated July 4, 1989 reads, "The Dodgers were playing the Cubs in L.A. in 1976, when then-Cub Rick monday grabbed a flag from a pair trying to set it on fire."
