Title supplied by cataloger. This is the Welfare Committee of the St. Charles Parish Council in North Hollywood. The group collected, cleaned, washed and reconditioned clothes and made quilts from scraps and salvaged materials. Writing on back of photograph identifies women as : Standing, left to right, Mrs. Francis Stoulil, Mrs. Ethel Zuelter (or Zagelter), Mrs. Frank VerBoomen, Mrs. Corinne Vidal, Mrs. Nelly Keeler, Mrs. Mary Prindle and Mrs. Elizabeth Perkins. Seated: Mrs. Earl Naylor, Mrs. Vern Coulehan (or Collehan), Mrs. William Brown, Mrs. William Grant and Mrs. Corinne Whittemore. Photograph caption dated December 23, 1953 reads, "Ladies hold spirit of Christmas in hearts. St. Charles Church workers aid poor, destitute, world over."
