Description: Image of the allegorical woman figure Eureka with bear, spear, and cornucopia at the top center of a diploma certificate from Salinas City High School issued in 1889 to Elmer P. Alexander; elaborate oval border with interior library and exterior building views, "Lux mentis scientia" motto, and sun breaking through clouds.
