"The children and staff of the Sacramento Children's Receiving Home will move into these new quarters tomorrow, vacating the old facilities at 2822 X Street. Wayne Hawkins, director of the home, said landscaping work on the new grounds at Watt Avenue and Auburn Boulevard, is several weeks away. The $316,667 structure was designed by Sacramento architect Dean F. Unger and is built on six acres of land in Del Paso Park. The site of the old home was needed for the W-X Streets freeway"
