Mathison (with overturned car at Western Avenue near Green Hills Memorial, San Pedro). Supplementary material reads: "Chernus -- Harbor. Captions. Two negs show cars plowing through water filled road on Eshelman Street near 248th Street, Lomita. In background is mechanical ditch digger. One neg shows cars plowing through water filled Western Avenue near Lomita Blvd. One neg shows Officer M. J. Mathison examining overturned car in gully on Western Ave. near Green Hills Memorial, San Pedro. Driver of the car, Lester Sickinger, 31, of 1130 W. 21st Street, Manhattan Beach, suffered dislocated shoulder. Three others in car escaped injury. Car skidded out of control on rain-slickened street, went off highway down 30-foot embankment ovverturning against wire fense".
