Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph article dated August 10, 1960 partially reads, "The horse and buggy era in San Fernando is ending with the widening of two short streets. Both 24-feet wide, Library and Morningside Court, between North Maclay avenue and North brand boulevard, were laid out by surveyors when the city was young. Dozens of bottle trees which provided shade for residents along both streets are being ripped out by crews to make way for widening them each by five feet."
