This circa 1975 photograph shows two training planes at Mather Air Force Base. Pictured is a T-43 (left) and a Cessna T-37 (right). Mather Air Force Base acted as an important aerial navigation school during the Cold War, remaining in operation until September 1993, two years after the fall of the Soviet Union.
