Narrative of the life of Tom Nelson, a former Army Officer who fought for rights of African Americans to buy properties in exclusive residential sections of Pasadena. The proper title of narrative, as read by Tom Nelson, is "Pasadena History of the family of James Newton and Lucy Nelson, Lucille Helen Wertz Nelson and Thomas W. Nelson." According to consent documentation Mr. Nelson "refers to a Rev. Troy Owens [at 28:25]. It should be [Rev.] Owens Troy."
