Photograph caption dated August 13, 1963 reads, "Three lovely young Valley girls sign up for competition in the Tarzana Lions Club's White Cane Day queen contest. Joe Block, chairman of White Cane Day, registers Hilda Andrade, 20, Sherman Oaks; Mary Fouts, 20, and Cherie Foster, 20, both North Hollywood. All proceeds from the event will be contributed to Lions' special charities for the blind."
