Photograph caption dated November 6, 1963 reads, "Forty guests are about to be entertained in Studio City and bachelors Dan Myers, putting the finishing touches on food-laden table, and Ralph Clark, holding the chafing dish full of grape-jelly embroiled meat balls, first photo, are ready. Bill Blanchard, center photo, gets a sample of the relish tray from Myers. The three prepared the food and as the cocktail party - only it's called a 'bash,' One Rule - proceeds, Mayerene Barker samples the hors d'oeuvres. The three bachelors realized there are certain rules to follow when getting ready for a bash. Briefly, the rules involve starting the party early, determine which bachelor will do what, delegate one to go to the supermarket - alone, two cooks might spoil the pot, and be simple in food preparation."
