Removed from Paul C. Smith collection. 2019-1522. Paul Smith, born in 1908. Worked as prospector, lumberjack, investment banker managing the New York Anglo-California Bank. Went into newspaper industry as reporter, in 1937 became editor of the San Francisco Chronicle. Was chairman of Crowell Collier Publishing Co. Died in 1976. C. T. Feng Consul General for China in San Francisco during WWII.
