Donald begins the discussion defining the “middle years”—psychological change resulting in an individual discovering they are a finite creature—and that he wanted examine this stage of life systematically as scientifically as possible. Donald talks about a number of issues during the interview: the physical aspects of aging for men and women; the importance of nutrition and physical exercises (especially aerobic) for lessening the effects of aging; and the impact of aging on marriage. Donald also talks about the importance of paying attention to the self from a holistic approach to improve one’s ability to deal with the aging process, emotionally, psychologically, and physically.
