Four views of newly opened Californian Hotel after receiving massive shakes from the Santa Barbara Earthquake, June 29, 1925. Text handwritten on verso of views 1 and 2 states that "This hotel is one of the most spectacular ruins, we think..." Shows sides of hotel peeled off, exposing bathtubs, sagging floors; piles of debri below.
