Description
A woman in a dress from 1833. The woman wears a long sleeved, ankle-length, white patterned dress. The pattern on the dress is a series of straight and wavy blue stripes with pink dots and small leave shapes in between. A wide diagonal band of same fabric borders the hem. She wears a belt of the same patterned material. Her bodice is made of white lace. Epaulets of the same lace cover her shoulders, with a scalloped lace edging. The collar is made of the scalloped white lace fabric and there is a large gold brooch on the collar. Her sleeves are leg of mutton style. She wears white shoes and yellow gloves. She wears a pink bonnet with a pink ribbon, and blue flowers placed on top of the bonnet. She looks towards the left.
